So what do you get for your money?
Every new Civic gets idle stop technology (manual transmission only) in order to save fuel. They also come with an ECON switch as seen on the Insight and Jazz.
Push the button and the Civic’s management system sets the car up to reduce fuel consumption.
Honda claims that the frugal mode won’t affect the general usability of the car, but that remains to be seen.

In total, prices for the high-end Civics have risen dramatically. While the outgoing model rises to just over £20k, the new ninth generation rises to £26,500.
Add a few advanced options and your new Civic could cost the wrong side of £30k.
Whoa. Even the Honda Accord only rises to £29,400.
We can only imagine how much the promised high performance Civic (probably not badged Type R) will cost when it arrives.
The new Honda Civic is available to order now with the first deliveries expected from January 2012.
So what say ye citizens of the Interwebs? Is the Civic overpriced?
